We exist to make "ready to ship" a fact, not a feeling.
Axiom Testing is a UK software QA consultancy. We partner with product and engineering teams to test what matters, report it clearly, and stand behind the sign-off.
Risk-based by default
Not every test is worth running. We start by understanding where a failure would actually hurt — revenue, safety, reputation, data — and concentrate coverage there. That means faster cycles and fewer surprises in production.
The result is testing you can reason about: a clear picture of what's covered, what's flagged, and what it means to ship.
Built to hand back
Whether we're running the whole QA function or embedding alongside your team, we build things your people can own — readable automation, documented suites and repeatable process — not a black box that leaves with us.
Grounded in 18+ years of senior QA experience across console, streaming, embedded and cloud platforms — and increasingly in assuring the data those products report, not only the behaviour they show.
For a worked example, our FinToolbox case study shows the same approach applied to a product we build and maintain ourselves.
How we think about quality
Evidence over opinion
Every claim about quality is backed by a result you can inspect. No hand-waving.
Test where it matters
Coverage follows risk, not habit. We spend effort where failure costs the most.
Leave it stronger
We hand back durable process and maintainable automation your team can run without us.
Kurt Goodliff, Director
Axiom Testing is run hands-on by its director. The person who scopes the work is the person who does it — nothing is sold by one team and handed to a bench.
Eighteen years of senior QA across console, streaming, embedded and cloud platforms, on a foundation of networking and software engineering.
Current engagements are standalone black-box test suites for logistics and order-orchestration platforms, built and maintained separately from the application repositories they exercise: Playwright browser and real-device lanes, Postman/Newman API contract collections, and Gherkin behaviour specs.
Alongside those sit the reconciliation checks — Python tooling that re-derives a product's reported figures straight from the data lake behind it and fails on a divergence. Those are the only checks that ask whether the numbers are right rather than merely self-consistent, and they are how a double-counted total was caught behind a fully green test run.
