How we handle your data.

1. Who we are

Axiom Testing Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are a company registered in England & Wales.

2. What data we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum:

• Enquiry details. If you use the contact form, the name, company, email address and message you enter are sent to our web server, which forwards them to our business email inbox as an email, using an email delivery service (see “Who we share it with”). The website does not keep a copy — nothing is saved to a database or file. If you email us directly instead, we receive what you send in the usual way.
• Spam protection. The contact form includes an invisible field that people never see but automated bots tend to fill in, and it notes how long the form was open before it was sent. Both are checked once, when you submit, to filter out automated spam, and are then discarded. No cookies are used for this and no third-party service (such as a CAPTCHA) is involved.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs — your IP address, the pages requested, the date and time, and your browser type — for security and troubleshooting. These are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify you.
• Analytics data. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and a randomised identifier. We do not use this to identify you personally.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To respond to enquiries. When you contact us about a project, through the form or by email, we use your details to reply and to discuss the work. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
• To keep the site secure and free of spam. The spam checks on the contact form and our server logs protect the site and our inbox. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
• To understand site usage. Analytics helps us improve the site. Legal basis: your consent, given via the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time (see “Cookies” below).

4. Cookies

We do not set any non-essential cookies until you accept them. When the site loads, analytics is disabled by default (Google Consent Mode). Only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner do we load Google Analytics and allow its cookies.

The analytics cookies set by Google (for example _ga) are used to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used. No advertising cookies are used.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings control in the footer, or by clearing cookies for this site in your browser.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use Google Analytics (provided by Google) as a processor for the analytics described above. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own terms; see Google’s privacy policy for details.

Enquiries sent through the contact form are delivered to us by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, based in France), an email delivery service acting as our processor. Brevo handles the message only to deliver it, and may keep delivery logs for a limited period under its own terms. Our web hosting and business email providers also handle enquiry details and server logs on our behalf, solely to run this website and receive messages.

Analytics data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the UK, including the United States. Where that happens, it is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses).

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries, whether sent through the form or by email, are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ configured retention period.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email contact@axiomtesting.co.uk.

8. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
